AT4 wireless announces that it has expanded its geographical field testing scope by adding APAC countries to its portfolio. The company offers field testing services for both cellular and Wi-Fi technologies in North America, all Latam countries, all the European Union countries and now the following APAC countries: Japan, Taiwan, China and Australia.

The FTQ networks in APAC region are NTT Docomo (Japan), China Mobile (China), Chunghwa (Taiwan) and Telstra (Australia).

In the last months, besides functional, interoperability and performance field testing of cellular technologies there is an increasing demand around Wi-Fi technology, including Wi-Fi-Cellular roaming (Wi-Fi Offload) and functional and interoperability testing of other radio technologies as Bluetooth, NFC, A-GPS, etc.

AT4 wireless has conducted thousands of field test projects in some of these regions and expects to grow this service given the current technology trends eg. increasing number of software apps. and radios, Connected Car, Wi-Fi Offload, etc.

“One of the key advantages for AT4 wireless when providing these services is that we use our own test tools, that respond to the market needs while helping us to keep costs and testing time down, helping to the industry preparing their products for an earlier launch. Our tools provide us also plenty of flexibility to add new test plans and test cases for an increasing number of requirements.

This innovative services offer combines the know-how about what is being tested in the lab environment (eg. regulatory, conformance, interoperability, etc) adding the device field testing experience; measuring the device performance in the real network infrastructure”. said Fernando E. Hardasmal, Deputy General Director, AT4 wireless, S.A.
