Strategic partnership to support global product innovation

The international expert organization DEKRA has established an EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) testing laboratory on Lenovo's campus in Beijing, China. The independent test lab will support product innovations of the world’s No. 1 PC producer in the global marketplace. By leveraging the cutting-edge facilities and technologies of DEKRA, Lenovo will benefit from immediate technical support during the product R&D stage, including technologies related to the Internet of Things (IoT) and Connectivity.

Global Partner in Testing and Certification for Internet of Things

Internet of Things (IoT) presents a market need to test and validate wireless devices, sensors, any electronics and software involved, and DEKRA is providing the right testing and certification strategy to successfully launch & market IoT devices worldwide.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a new scene where “things” (devices, people or animals) with embedded electronics, sensors, controllers and applications have the ability to transfer data over a network without human intervention.

DEKRA recognized as CB by ISED for the Canadian market

DEKRA announces that it has been recognized as Certification Body by ISED. Adding this recognition to our TCB status, recently received by FCC for the US market, DEKRA strengthens its full range of services in the international approval radio devices field.

The recognition of DEKRA as Certification Body by the Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) took place last May 25th 2016, after DEKRA obtained the accreditation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17065:2012 for ISED’s certification scheme by ENAC (Spanish National Accreditation Body) and successfully completed the evaluation from the Spanish Telecommunications and Information Technology Estate Secretariat associated to the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism (Minetur).

DEKRA, first European Authorized Test Lab for Wi-Fi CERTIFIED™ ac wave 2 features

DEKRA, a DEKRA company, announces its qualification as Authorized Test Laboratory for new Wi-Fi CERTIFIED™ ac program including wave 2 features. Now, Wi-Fi Alliance® members interested in implementing these new features in their products may request DEKRA to start the certification process.

Just after the official launch of Wi-Fi CERTIFIED ac with wave 2 features program, DEKRA, a DEKRA company, announces that it is ready to perform certification testing for this program “wave 2” features.

 
 

DEKRA has participated in the 11th ITS European Congress

DEKRA, a DEKRA company, has participated in the 11th ITS European Congress series of conferences, just held in Glasgow (Scotland). Along three days, from 6th to 9th June 2016, the Congress provided the ideal opportunity for all stakeholders to come together, offering them the opportunity to share initiatives and present state of the art ITS solutions in the exhibiting and demonstrations areas.

DEKRA addressed the technical/scientific sessions with the speech “Connected car testing challenges framed in the -Evolutionary aspects of C-ITS-” by Antonio J. Garrido, Engineer at DEKRA Test Engineering and R&D division.

 

Juan Carlos Soler appointed as Global Technical Leader in the field of EMC and RF and related technologies for DEKRA Certification

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Juan Carlos Soler as Global Technical Leader for EMC and RF.

Juan Carlos has been involved in testing in this field for almost 20 years now and gained a lot experience in setting up EMC and RF laboratories and involved in running these laboratories. Currently he is also involved in several standardizations committees and as Global Technical Leader he will be taking care of knowledge sharing, improvements, new developments and qualification coordination in the field of EMC, RF and related fields of technologies for the DEKRA Certification group globally.

 

European Union: Directive 2014/53/EU (Radio Equipment Directive) entered into force on 13th June 2016.

Brazil: ANATEL will only accept ISO 9001:2015 certificates as part of type approval submissions starting on September 2018.

Japan: Call for comments: Proposal on amendments to the radio equipment conformity regulations framework in order to include specific rules for LTE-Advanced capable devices.

Slovenia: Auction of licences to operate electronic communications networks on 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz bands.
