Committed to safety for nine decades, the expert organization DEKRA is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year. On June 30, 1925 the Deutscher Kraftfahrzeug-Überwachungs-Verein e.V. was entered in the register of associations at the Berlin-Mitte District Court. 90 years later, it has become one of the world’s leading expert organizations.

 

DEKRA completes testing of first ULE certified devices worldwide

DEKRA, the Certification Laboratory and Qualification Body for the ULE Certification Program, announces the certification of first ULE devices worldwide.

DEKRA’ ULE Laboratory, as the only worldwide ULE Certification Laboratory and Qualification Body, has successfully completed the certification testing activities and verified that this initial group of devices comply with the requirements defined by the ULE Certification Process, that ensures interoperability of ULE devices across multiple vendors verifying Services and Interfaces defined by the ULE HAN FUN application layer specifications.

 

EMVCo Accreditation for Mobile and Contactless Card type approvals achieved by DEKRA

DEKRA is pleased to announce that its Laboratory facility in Spain has been accredited by EMVCo for both Mobile and Contactless Card Level 1 Analog and Digital scope, being ready to perform testing.

The Mobile Payment Industry is gaining momentum day by day, representing one of the technologies with more traction for the upcoming years. EMV® Specifications and its associated Type Approvals represent a key element for an interoperable and secure scenario.

DEKRA Selected by NFC Forum as Analog Test Tool Validation House

DEKRA is pleased to announce that it has been appointed as the new NFC Forum Analog Tool Validation House.

Effective October 12th, 2015, DEKRA will take on the role of Analog Test Tool Validation House for the NFC Forum. DEKRA , was identified through a rigorous bidding process as the best qualified candidate for this role. The Validation House is responsible for assessing test tools to confirm test specification compliance and reliability prior to tool approval by the Forum for use in Certification testing.

 

Extension of Testing & Certification Capabilities to meet Automotive industry needs

DEKRA announces that the company has added a new test bed to perform EMC testing to electrical and electronic subcomponents according Automotive Tier 1 Manufacturers’ specific requirements.

DEKRA has just added a cutting-edge Automotive EMC test bed for fast transients testing according to the latest Automotive Tier 1 manufacturers specific requirements, a large list of standards: GS 95002 / GS 95003-2 / GS 95024, LV124 / LV148 / TL 81000, PF9326 / PF9236 / DC-10615 / DC-11224, ISO and SAE Series, among others.

DEKRA is pleased to announce that the laboratory provides their clients with a new service offer helping them to comply with IEC 62368-1 standard.

In order to simplify the safety requirements linked to the adoption of emerging technologies in audio/video, information and communication equipment, the IEC Technical Committee 108 recommends that EN 62368-1must be considered as an alternative to both standards in force: IEC 60065 (standard for audio/video devices) , and IEC 60950 (standard for information and technologies devices).

Lightronics First to Receive Updated DEKRA LED Performance Mark

During the LED Expo 2015 event held in Den Bosch, The Netherlands, Lightronics became the first company to receive the updated version of the DEKRA LED Performance Mark. Lightronics is a supplier of innovative lighting solutions for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications. The company received the DEKRA LED Performance Mark for its street and site luminaires.

DEKRA will participate in TAITRONICS 2015 (41st Taipei International Electronics Show) in Taipei from October 6th to Oct 9th, 2015. Its booth (No.K0816) is located in Pavilion of Smart living Certification.

TAITRONICS 2015 tradeshow is organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA).
