DEKRA launches an innovative program “R4M” (Ready for Market) addressed to the wireless industry

R4M has been developed by DEKRA to support carriers and vendors to ensure their networks, device or equipment are ready for the most competitive markets.

DEKRA, a complete wireless testing & certification laboratory with the largest coverage in mobile and wireless technologies, announces that it has developed and launched R4M, an innovative program ease the access to the market for wireless devices.

DEKRA expands the use of its performance testing solutions

The DEKRA performance test solution upgraded version has been incorporated into the test plan of a North American tier 1 cellular operator for mobile hotspot evaluation.

The upgraded DEKRA performance test solution now allows both automatic control of the link path loss and most wireless access points settings, making the tool very flexible and efficient to evaluate the performance of Wi-Fi networks and terminals, both indoors or outdoors as well as in a controlled laboratory environment.

DEKRA announces the opening of new facilities for its Regulatory Laboratories located in Spain, expanding its EMC, RF, Electrical Safety, and SAR testing capabilities.

DEKRA has opened new facilities in Spain equipped with new state-of-the-art chambers to provide improved lead times to the industry. The leading Mobile and Wireless Testing Laboratory has already doubled its number of expert engineers in answer to the increasing regulatory testing demand, reinforcing DEKRA’ commitment with the mobile and wireless industry.

DEKRA expands its Wi-Fi Alliance® Authorized Test Lab services scope

Wi-Fi Alliance expands certification testing portfolio for Wi-Fi®.

DEKRA is proud to announce that it has been authorized by Wi-Fi Alliance® to perform certification testing for WMM®-Admission Control and Voice over Wi-Fi Enterprise programs.

WMM-Admission Control further improves the performance of Wi-Fi® networks for real-time data such as voice and video. It improves the reliability of applications in progress by preventing oversubscription of bandwidth.

 

DEKRA joins HTC Connect™ as authorized test laboratory

DEKRA strengthens its service offering in the consumer electronics and mobile technology industry. DEKRA, a complete wireless certification & testing laboratory with the largest coverage in mobile and wireless technologies, announces that it has joined the HTC Connect program to provide testing solutions.

The HTC Connect program is designed to bring seamless connectivity between HTC devices such as the HTC One series smartphones[1] and compatible consumer Bluetooth®, DLNA and Miracast-enable electronics devices.

Latest Bluetooth 4.1 Specification Available at DEKRA

DEKRA, leading wireless testing and certification laboratory, announces it can already provide testing services for Bluetooth 4.1. devices.

DEKRA, is ready to provide testing services according to the newest update to the core Bluetooth specification, Bluetooth v4.1. This updated specification, recently published by Bluetooth SIG, aims to improve consumer usability with increased co-existence support for LTE, efficient data exchange rates, and aid developer innovation by allowing devices to support multiple roles simultaneously.

 

DEKRA becomes GCF Assessment Capable Entity (ACE)

DEKRA has been recently recognised by GCF as an Assessment Capable Entity (ACE), to determine the range of test required to certify a device and assessing all the results to ensure the device satisfies all relevant certification criteria.

The GCF ACE certification scheme has been designed especially for manufacturers of wireless connected devices, included in a recent and new GCF membership category, Associate Manufacturer.

Associate Manufacturer Members are required to work with a Third Party Assessment Capable Entity (ACE) to be assisted with the certification process.

DEKRA extends its CTIA OTA Testing capabilities

DEKRA has been recently authorized for the latest version of the CTIA Test Plan.

The CTIA certification body has recently authorized DEKRA Spain to perform CTIA RF Performance Over-The-Air testing services according to the last CTIA Test Plan 3.2.2. This CTIA endorsement joins to the list of already accredited testing programs hosted by DEKRA and regulated under ISO 17025 guidelines.

A mobile device certified by DEKRA under the CTIA Test Plan ensures RF performance of the transmitter and receiver components of end user products.
