DEKRA designated Global Mobile Testing Laboratory by Telefonica

DEKRA, leading Wireless and Mobile Testing and Certification Laboratory, has been designated by Telefonica as its Global Mobile Testing Laboratory.

Telefonica has selected DEKRA as its Global Mobile Testing Laboratory. With this designation DEKRA will test any mobile device (handsets and modems among others) selected by Telefonica Operations in Latin America and Europe.

DEKRA and Toyo Corporation to offer testing services in Japan

Both companies recognize the need to offer advanced testing services for Telecom technologies, not only to Telecom companies but others companies as Automotive, Health and Consumer electronics, that are now often integrating Telecommunications modules and solutions in their products.

The first stage for this cooperation is already going on and both companies will start offering OTA MIMO Testing services for LTE, at the same time, the two partners will start testing LTE protocols.

 

DEKRA taking a leading position by investing in Anritsu 3G and LTE testing equipment

DEKRA and Anritsu have recently closed an agreement to bring Anritsu test equipment for 3G and LTE conformance and carrier testing to the DEKRA leading network of testing laboratories.

The agreement includes RF, RRM and Protocol testing equipment which will be located in Spain, USA, Taiwan and Japan. The test equipment included in the agreement represents the cutting edge of Anritsu in RF, RRM and Protocol conformance testing as well as an important coverage in worldwide Tier 1 Network Operators device acceptance test plans.

OTA A-GPS testing capabilities has been added to DEKRA' OTA testing portfolio

DEKRA is now providing OTA A-GPS (Assisted GPS) testing services to meet the increasing demand of GPS receiver performance testing.

Users demand a higher level of "use experience" to their new tablets and smartphones integrating GPS receivers. Manufacturers of mobile and wireless devices can improve and enhance GPS receiver performance by means of OTA A-GPS testing and also meet the mandatory requirements enforced by MNOs (Mobile Network Operators) and recognized Industry Organizations as CTIA.

 

DEKRA providing Wi-Fi performance testing services to leading carriers

DEKRA, a global test authority, has enabled the industry's major wireless carriers through the development of test acceptance processes, test cases, and test plans defining critical benchmarking criteria for Wi-Fi infrastructure elements and terminals.

The DEKRA service offering, within its Carrier Business Unit (CBU), expands the current portfolio of test and certification services into the end to end performance arena. DEKRA is currently building on its advanced end to end quality of service (QoS) testing solutions for carriers adding portable internet based testing solutions, covering all major markets worldwide.

DEKRA and MET Labs Partner on Telecom Equipment Testing

DEKRA and MET Labs have signed an agreement to cooperate on testing for mobile equipment and telecom type approvals in order to provide clients of both parties the opportunity for a complete testing solution that includes MET's extensive regulatory certification services, and DEKRA' wide range of conformance testing of mobile and other telecom equipment.

 

360Strategy has been appointed by DEKRA as its Israel agency

Both companies have entered into agreement to provide with added value services to the growing and competitive Israeli telecommunications industry.

360Strategy will actively promote DEKRA portfolio of testing and certification services in Israel, as well as provide clients with the service that best suits their needs, ensuring that products comply with the quality and safety needs demanded by the global market and end users.

New capabilities for Vibration Testing

DEKRA environmental testing laboratory has just updated its capabilities to perform Vibration Testing, including:

  • Sine on Random Vibration (SoR)
  • Random on Random Vibration (RoR)
  • Finding resonances up to six measurement points

To pass these type of testing is a common requirement in the avionics industry (RTCA), military (MIL-STD) and railway industry, among others.

 

DEKRA expands scope of Wi-Fi Alliance® Authorized Test Lab services

Qualification expands certification testing portfolio for Wi-Fi® technology

DEKRA is proud to announce that it has been authorized by Wi-Fi Alliance® to perform certification testing for Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Voice Personal, Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Tunneled Direct Link Setup (TDLS) and WPA2 Protected Management Frames (PMF) programs.

Wi-Fi Alliance developed the Voice-Personal certification program to verify that access points, often referred to as wireless routers, and client devices like handsets and laptops deliver good voice quality over a Wi-Fi network. The program extends beyond interoperability testing to test the performance of specific products.
